Devestatingly intelligent, dashingly handsome, diabolically evil-- Victor von Richter was all these things. Until, that is, the day of his climactic battle with Rex Danger, agent of S.H.M.O.E.* As they struggled aboard the burning cargo plane which hurtled unpiloted though lightning streaked skies above the Himalayas, von Richter appeared to gain the upper hand and forced Danger out the open loading door. Watching Danger's body plunge toward certain death, von Richter reveled in what he thought was his ultimate triumph until he saw the billow of a parachute and realized he had fallen for the oldest trick in the book. He didn't even have time to finish a curse before his plane slammed into the side of Mount Heinous, exploded, and was buried by a ton of snow, ice, and rock in the resulting avalanche.
And that would have been the end for Victor von Richter, except that, by chance, he had crashed near the Hidden Valley of Ramada. The Ramadan's sensors alerted them to the explosion and two monks were sent to investigate. They were able to dig von Richter from the avalanche and wreckage while the faintest flutter of life (one which would have been undetectable to humans) still remained within his shattered body. They stabilized his condition and took him to their Mystical City. But even the Ramadan's advanced medicine was unable to do much in the combined face of the crash, explosion, and severe frostbite. The Ramadans were forced to amputate his entire body, leaving only his brain which they housed in a specially designed robot body, allowing von Richter speech and limited mobility.
As a race, the Ramadans are far more advanced than humans physically, intellectually, and spiritually. They are also far more naive. von Richter was able to steal some of their technology and escape in a Ramadan hovership. He returned to his secret fortress where he began plotting. He had learned how he might transplant his brain into a human body, but as far as von Richter was concerned, only one body on the planet would suffice-- Rex Danger's.
This Kaleidoscope color scheme is inspired by the character of Victor von Richter from "The Adventures of Rex Danger!" It attempts to capture what his "interface" would look like on his Mac at his secret base, The Fortress of Insolence. I hope you enjoy it.
Though this scheme is free and may be freely distributed, please do not distribute modified versions or distribute it without this Read Me. And please pay your Kaleidoscope shareware fees.
This scheme is not b/w savvy. If you take a look under the hood, you will see some b/w resources, but those are incomplete at best and not thoroughly considered. If this scheme looks okay in black and white, it's by sheer chance.
If you have comments or suggestions, I'd be ecstatic to hear them. I can be e-mailed at <mcknife@xsite.net>. Let me know what you think!
